Austin-Based Shawhin Izaddoost (VVV) and Dylan Cameron join forces on Locrian Transition, presenting a seamless display of masterful sound design and playful experimentation.

"Silic (Intro)" is inviting enough, but the 10 tracks on display here each establish their own distinctive sound world. "High Priestess" sets the mood for Locrian Transition with it's driving rhythm, masterful arps, and lush vocal stabs. This unique blend of sound finds it's way onto such tracks as "Supplicant" and "111" while "CYB-CYS 30C" tends to explore a texture dense dreampunk atmosphere. "Network of Sleepers" is a heady track conjuring an otherworldy cyber industrial complex, and heady tracks are a common theme here. Before you know it the journey comes to an end as "Parasympathic" culminates into a collaborative destructive effort, pushing the envelope of their sound even further.

Locrian Transition is a unique expression of two artists that have established roots within their local Austin community as well as the unique networks of the underground music scene.
